so i bought an item on the 25th of february and it supposedly arrived at my home on march 5th, but there was nothing here…i looked in the mail box and front step and never could find anything. i tried contacting the seller but he never responds.

i then filed a paypal claim but they decided in the seller's favor because he provided proof of shipment. then i contacted ebay trust and security team but they decided in favor of the seller again.

i also contacted usps. they said the item might be in a lockbox, but i'm not too sure it is there. they said they spoke with my mail carrier and he does not remember leaving anything on the doorstep. however, he seems pretty old and it was about a month ago. i am thinking they misdelivered the item, because that has happened with my housemate's textbook.

the only thing i can think of is to threaten the seller with negative feedback and see if he would paypal me the money in exchange for positive feedback.

anyways, just wondering if there is anything else i could do to try to get my money back.

This is Paypal and Ebay's policy. If the seller has delivery confirmation and it shows that the item was in fact delivered then they won't do anything for you. It is possible that the item was either misdelivered or stolen. For this reason I always use my personal credit card instead of Paypal when making Ebay purchases. My credit card will deal with me Paypal is really a nightmare to deal with as you are discovering. Good Luck! Its an unhill battle that you are fighting.

When I go on to www.paypal.co.uk, it comes up with the login page.
When I log in, I get taken straight to this Security measures page.
It asks me to fill in my bank number. Above where I am supposed to fill this in, is a box which says what bank I am joined to, what type of card I have and the last 2 digits of my card.
Surely if this was a fake page where someone wants to take my details, then they wouldn't know this information?

I contacted paypal and they said there is nothing wrong with my account which would warrant a security check.

I did actually fill in my bank number once, and was then taken to a page where it asks for a new password.

I just don't know whether this is a genuine site or not. There is a padlock in the address bar when I go on this site, and it says the certificate is verified and it says about paypal being in san jose, california.
This all seems to be ok.

Do you think I should be wary or not?
I can't make any payments on ebay because of this.

its a genuine page, if you are typing www.paypal.co.uk into your address bar then you have nothing to worry about, they do need your bank details to get your money

OK so it's complicated.
I bought something via paypal (I wanted something personalized) so I emailed the seller and sorted it out.

It didn't turn up after 2 weeks when I thought they said it would have done by. But it didn't so i put a dispute up then they said no it would take 5-24 business days so i accepted this and have waited. It's ben 23 business days (ish) up to now? So they said they'd re-ship cos i got in touch nd told em it hadn't arrived.
My dispute ends tomorrow March 29th.. I need to know whether to escalate to claim or not.. see a claim is where it's paypal's decision and that's what i'm worried about. i don't want them to take this guys money then the personalized item turns up on my doorstep the next day! i'd feel so bad.
so what should i do? plus it's 24 business days on the upcoming monday i think lol. and they said it's been re-shipped newayz.

i kinda trust em .. but kinda don't lol. ahh help!

very simple, escalate the dispute saying your item has never arrived and that they cannot seem to provide you with a tracking number.

Don't ever wait on someones word… If the item is not in your hands, it's obvious what you have to do. if they have already shipped the item, they will need to produce a valid tracking number straight away or they lose.

In other words, don't take your chances.. its your money.

Cuz right now y bank account isn;t able to be verified since i used up my attempts, but i already contacted paypal through email with my deposit number but no response yet. and i kinda need to order now so is paypal the only option for pickyourshoes.com?

You can pay them with a credit card without having a paypal account

You should go on ebay and search up american apparel hoodies. They have a lot of plain ones in nice colors under 30 dollars. THEY ACCEPT PAYPAL TOO.

I sold a person a product online. He sent a payment through paypal. Do I have to ship the item through paypal OR can I send it the way I want and save money?? If I send it the way I want will my money transfer into my bank account and how does this all work? Please explain how this works for I am new to shipping with paypal.

You can ship the cheapest way you want.to get your money out of paypal,click on withdrawl,and fill out the amount you want to transfer and submit,it will transfer to your account in about 3 days.

I want to be able to accept credit and debit card payments from my customers , for products that I sell, that are not on a website. Does paypal have a system where I can run their card details through my own paypal account and receive the money that way? thank you AJD24

If you have a Paypal account, you only need to give other people the paypay email you use, so that other people with Paypal can pay you money through paypal.
The obvious risk of giving your email address is the spam and phishing attempts, especially from spoof paypal sites trying to obtain your sign in details, but they should be easy to spot.

No. That is what Paypal is all about. They act as your credit card processor. Just be sure and get setup well in advance of your first transaction as it takes a number of days to get setup due to bank verifications for your account for deposits.

still, it seems like even the worst off students have new clothes, ipods, cds, and everything. i rarely ever buy myself anything like that at all. i don't have a big movie collection in my room, or a tv, or a video game console. i'm still wearing clothes from grade ten.
