Opened a cause, Unauthorized transaction with a seller. It turns out while I was on vacation my brother ended up going onto my paypal account and sending this guy money for items, which in the end he thought it was wrong so he disputed and lost. So I filed a unauthorized transaction and it says the seller has to provide additional information.. What are my chances for getting my money refunded and what kind of information will I have to give them if they come asking? Thanks a million.

This is with Paypal.. and here is something I grabbed from the case.

PayPal is investigating your unauthorized activity claim, and the seller has been asked to provide additional information within seven days.

Don’t know if you can get your money back from the seller - but you definitely have cause to have your brother pay you back anything that you’re out!

When logging on to my ebay account I get this message :

We have limited access to your eBay account as a precaution because a recent review of your account has identified an issue regarding its safe use.

To resolve this, please log into your PayPal account and go to My Account > Resolution Centre.

When I log into my pypal account there is nothing in the resoltuion centre. This message has not been sent to my e-mail address either.

You seem to suffer from this problem quite frequently.

Well just recently after getting a bank account I set up a paypal account but haven’t yet linked the account to my bank account. I have put my debit card info in. I got a e-mail from "update@paypal.com" the subject was "Dispute Transaction." Now I opened the e-mail and it said that a purchase was made of 460 dollars to buy this phone and I didn’t do that. Now before hitting the link that said "If you didn’t make this purchase click here"…..etc. I went onto paypal.com logged in and there was no recent activity on my account. What is going on why did I get that e-mail was it fake or a virus or was it paypal telling me someone purchased something with my paypal account? I have e-mail paypal with this question and still awaiting a response.

It was a scam, change your passwords immediately, the scammers now have all the information they need to use your account. Paypal never sends click through links, you were redirected to the scammers account and they took all the info you entered for their own use.

I just got a strange email from Paypal saying this:
As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. We recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account. We requested information from you for the following reason: We recently received a report of unauthorized credit card use associated with this account. As a precaution, we have limited access to your PayPal account in order to protect against future unauthorized transactions.

But the thing is, I don’t have a Paypal account. I was never contacted before either. At the bottom of the email it has boxes where I can fill in my card number and pin etc.

It is me or does it sound a bit strange?

You can create a paypal account using a debit card. Just go to Paypal.com and sign up.

if i default on my loan payments, can they MAKE me go bankrupcty?
and if not, lets say they order my wages to be garnished. at that point, am I allowed to keep my computer? i dont have a home, no car. the only thing i have is my computer. and do i have to tell them about my paypal accounts which i have a few hundred dollars in them? do i have to disclose every penny that i have to them? im not talking about bankruptcy at this stage, im just talking about when they try to get my wage garnished

I want to know if there is a personal payment website that won’t do chargebacks like paypal will. I don’t have a credit card so I can’t sign up using one — I need something that is safe & protects the seller at all costs. Thanks
paypal is most widely accepted. you can use 3v, which is sort of like a top up card. Basically you sign up for 3v (googling it will show the official website) and they’ll send you a card. Then you can take it into any good newsagents and they can top it up for you by the amount you wish. Usually you can use it anywhere that takes visa. However this is only useful if you want to buy. Paypal is your best option for selling, it is perfectly safe, the chargebacks are a small price to pay to protect against internet fraud.

Is paypal become worst online service, because it I seems it always support to merchant or concentrate on its commission by hook by crook and they have one liner answer that we have received the answer from the vendor and can’t refund your amount…

Paypal has it’s issues but the service is still good.

Yes, Paypal is prejudiced against anyone from another country. They think we are all swindlers and criminals. I still use them though, what choice do I have? Try a company called moneybookers.

I bought a shipping label from Paypal. Can I just drop it off the drop box at the post office or street drop box?

Does the label have USPS Postage on it?
