Which credit card should I get for my first time?
I’m a soon-to-be university student and I live in the UK (specifically scotland) I really want to set up a paypal account too…
So which card is recommended?
Most major banks should have a student/college card specifically designed for you - low interest rates, free cheques, bank accounts etc.
Check out your own bank first.
What to do after printing shipping labels (paypal)?
Other than having someone pick it up from your house.
Where can I drop off a package with the labels and everything already set? How about a USPS mailbox? If I go to the post office I have to wait in line and simply give it to them?
Also, when you have someone pick up the package(s) from your house, do they knock your door and simply pick it up from your mail box?
thanks
If the postage is already afixed to the box, you don’t need to wait in line. Just walk in, go to the counter nearest one of the walls and show them your packages, ask where to put them and they’ll take them from you without ignoring their current customer. I see it done all the time.
If you have packages going out daily, you can be put onto one of their pickup runs, but phone your post office and ask them how they do their pickups. They’ll tell you.
Most post offices have the bins inside that you just drop boxes into now that are already marked with postage. If yours fit in the opening, just put them in there. But really, it’s far easier to just take them to the closest counter and hand them over.
Somebody just tried to con me via paypal, I reported it but what else can I do?
I’m selling a mobile through gumtree, he told me to ship it to his address and even sent me bogus paypal confirmations to make me think he put the money into my paypal account.
I’ve reported it to paypal but I want to do more, any suggestions?
>>>>(WARNING PAYPAL IS A SCAM!)<<<<
I fell for there false claims of keeping you safe and it cost me allot of money! A $1.98 cd cost me hundreds of dollars! There so called one time use secure cards that there toolbar creates( Aren’t) a one time use card!
If you give someone that card # they can keep using that card over and over till they empty your bank account!
Paypal let,s it happen and (Will not let you stop payment!)They tell you to fill out this BS claim form and in a couple of days (After they take your money) they will deny your claim! And give you some generic tip’s on how not to get scammed next time in a email?
I believe Paypal is in bed with scam artist?
Most Scam sites have a Paypal button [] with a blue ribbon on it?
I,m sure people complain about getting scammed on these sites! I sure did and Paypal did nothing and the site is still screwing people with there help to this day!
http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/the-grant-university-c106077.html
Allot of con men get there pay checks from Paypal!
If you don’t believe me? Call Paypal and ask them how many times there one time use secure cards can be used and what protection you have to stop someone from emptying your bank account? They will give you the run around!
Also look around the internet for shady site’s and you will find Paypals blue ribbon 100% certified protection button! People see it and think the site is safe (WRONG)!!!

How do I set up paypal on my website to send an email when a payment is made?
I am trying to set up a paypal button on my site. I need it to send an email with information once payment is made. For example, I want to run a clue based game. Someone pays me $1.00 per clue. When they pay, an email with a clue is sent to them, each time they pay a different clue is sent. Is this possible?
Hi Jimmethun,
Yes it is possible. Paypal themselves will have a more conscise answer, but basilcly when payment is made the buyer is directed to a download section. This would be a secret page on your site with the answer on….but how to make them different each time? Have you thought about Aweber, here you can send out automated emails, all different content, at different times etc and probably would give you more fleaxabiltiy. Paypal takes the subscription, they join your list.
How Paypal works: Do they need confirmation that you are shipping something in order to credit you account?
I am emailing an obvious scammer and he keeps saying that Paypal needs the tracking number for shipped items in order to credit your account for them. I don’t think so.
And also, say I ship it and i type in the tracking number on paypal (if there even is a place to do that), can’t he just take the money back after the item is shipped before paypal credits my account?
I am the one shipping the package to a buyer.
Your question is not clear.
Are you a buyer returning an item to the seller for credit? Do you have an open dispute for an item?
Is it safe to give out my paypal information (no password)?
Is it possible to get robbed by scams just by giving out information about my paypal account and other contact info? Some websites claim I can make money from their programs and they ask about my paypal. Is it safe? If I make money online what should I do about tax (Canada)?
Don’t fall for those dumb, "make money fast and easy" ads, those are scams and they’re preying on people like us. It’s very possible to get robbed, but only if you give your informations, those scammers are being nice to you and pretend that you can get that amount of money in a certain time.
Overall, if it sounds too good to be true, don’t be greedy and say no, period.
QUESTION REGARDING EBAY PLEASE HELP!!?
When I try and log\on it says:
We have limited access to your eBay account as a precaution because a recent review of your account has identified an issue regarding its safe use.
To resolve this, please log into your PayPal account and go to My Account > Resolution Centre
However when I log into my PayPal account and go to the resolution centre there are no open cases!
It is very frustrating as I can’t sell anything!
Did you pay your ebay fees? Did you sell something that was stolen?
What is PayPal’s time limit on funds clearing permanently?
I have a small service business.
I’m looking to use PayPal to accept payment, but I am worried about "chargebacks" from people who accept the service, but decide not to pay.
Is it possible to use PayPal well before the service is rendered so customers cannot do a chargeback? Is there a statute of limitations on PayPal payments where the charge will become permanently settled and unavailable for a chargeback?
Thanks in advance for any help understanding this.
Chargebacks are when a buyer contacts their credit card company and disputes the charge. Usually they’ll be refunded since delivery confirmation is not considered proof of delivery in the credit card company’s eyes. Only a signature is; IE mailing items via Fed Ex or UPS, etc…
BTW: you’ll never know what method a buyer uses for payment, except for e-check, unless they tell you.
Paypal "tries" their best to protect sellers from chargebacks but it eventually happens, but no, paypal doesn’t protect you.
Paypal has nothing to do with the chargebacks, but the limit is usually made by the credit card company. If the company notices someone doing an unusual amount of chargebacks, they’ll freeze the account and investigate.
Oh, any funds in your paypal account is never fully yours. It can be easily taken as it was received, unless you withdraw the funds immediately, but if the buyer files a chargeback with their credit card, INR, or SNAD via paypal, the funds will be on hold. If you DON’T have a balance, your paypal account will be negative.
On Ebay, when I buy an item using Paypal, is the shipping cost included in the price?
Like if I buy an item for 25 bucks and the shipping is 4 dollars, does the seller get the money from the item and I have to give him the shipping money later? Or is it all one big bundle?
When you do your payment through eBay. Right before you submit it and it is redirected to PayPal.
It should give you
Item Cost: $25
Shipping Cost: $4
Shipping Insurance (Optional): (Scroll Down Box)
Shipping Service: (Scroll Down Box)
Total: $29
Hope this helps. It is all in one bundle.
Paypal Alternatives For a 16 year old!?
Paypal accepts 18 year olds and older only.
I am 16 years old and i wish to open up a third party merchant account.
Are there any paypal alternatives that allow 16 year olds to sign up?
If not, then I will have to settle for having my parents sign up for these services.
Thank you!
I forgot to add that i have a prepaid credit card in my name.
Also, i forgot to say I want to start an online business selling items. Please don’t say eBay, i do not want to be associated.
