I have a student account for Paypal and my mom just added funds to my card/account. It says "Waiting for Approval" and I’m trying to figure out how to approve it. Any help?

They are waiting for the funds to clear from your mom’s bank account. Depending on the source of the deposit, it can take up to 5 business days to actually clear into your account, even when it takes it out of the bank account immediately.

i want virgin mobile phone service but i dont want to do a plan or credit/debit/paypal. can i just buy these top up cards and get my phone service like that? and what do the top up cards include internet service?

You will need a credit/debit card to sign up. But after that you won’t need to ever charge to it. You can buy virgin mobile top up cards at many stores including target and walmart.

Once you buy a card, you type in the code on it and it will add to your account. You can do this online or on your phone. However top up cards are only good for minutes, and it only lasts for 30 days. They do not include internet or texting. The benefit to buying top up cards (or buying a minute pack online-same thing, only online you need a debit/credit card where as in the store you can use cash) is that you can get minutes for less than the standard 20 cents a minute. I believe the 25 dollar top up card gives you 200 minutes at a rate of 12 cents a minute. However the downside is that the minutes expire after 30 days.

What I do is add $10 to my account when I need it by going online and using my debit card. I then have a $10 account balance that never expires and if I need to use my phone, I pay the standard 20 cents a minute, 15 cents a text message or 1.50 a day for internet (which is not a bad deal at all compared to other no contract phones). I think this is the best way, but you will need to use a debit/credit card. However you control when and how much you pay. No monthly hassles, and if you don’t use your phone that often, you won’t have to add money that often.

Another case of a retarded ebayer, bought my item without reading everything carefully.. now he wants a refund, but for some reason paypal limited my account for "suspicious 3rd party bla bla bla" which is really stupid. So i cant refund the retard his money, and he has opened up a dispute in ebay…. i will give his money back if paypal stops being retarded and limiting accounts for no reason.. even though the buyer didn’t read what he was supposed to

What should I do? And are there any legal problems that could occur?

Something similar happened to me… I couldn’t pay because I tried to access my Paypal while visiting China [I know, stupid me]. It got blocked but I called Paypal and they fixed it for me. Go to the Paypal website and find the support number. I remember first I did a chat thing with an automated responce, and they gave me the number [if it's not on the front page].

Hello. I got a missed call from paypal yesterday and I would like to know reasons they may have called. I am a little scared because I did have multiple accounts. One is a student account, and the other I lied about my age (i am a minor). Anyway, I bought something off ebay with a gift card and it would not let me use my student paypal for some reason, so I just made a new one. After I used up the gift card, I just kinda left it. Right after I got the call [which i didn't answer] I remembered and closed the account. We had 3 accounts on our ip address, because my mom has one as well. Is it possible it isn’t related to any of this? The ‘fake’ paypal to use my gift card had all real information, but paypal called the house phone and I only had my cell on file. They only called once, since I closed the account will they stop bugging me? Thanks.

You do have a problem with paypal - they record the serial number of the computer

Paypal does not check your credit history to open a personal account. They do, however, warn you that if you have financial problems you may not be able to get a premiere or business account. You need to have a premiere account if you are going to buy and sell merchandise or services and use PayPal as your provider.

I have had a premiere account for years (there’s no extra charge) and I filed a bankruptcy and they didn’t cancel my account. So I’m not sure how diligent they are anyhow.

I verified it with my bank account and everything. My mom isn’t home, and I got a missed call from paypal today! I know they only usually call if you’re in trouble! I’m scared, I deleted all the information on paypal I could and tried to close it but it said I can’t because of gift card transactions whatever that means. What do I do?!!!! I didn’t answer the paypal call, and I just ordered things from ebay today! All I want to do is close my paypal and pretend it didn’t hapepen! I have the same thing going on at my house and i just turned 16. but guess what? when they called it was probably because of what ever error prevented you from closing your account. So just send them an email. this happened to me and my mom didnt know but it was ok because the email the replied in said that they had encountered an error in the system. its usually not as bad as it seems. also if you ever get suspended from ebay, not saying that you will but if you are just email me @ rikahs19@gmail.com or rikahs19@yahoo.com ok? trust me.

okay so I auctioned these shoes of ebay and when I went to print a shipping label off PayPal it says You have entered an invalid address please check your entry and try again. But it also says the address entered is confirmed? I contacted the buyer and he gave the address to me and I rentered it manually and it still says its confirmed but invalid? Please help.

I got a trouble, we have a online store, use Oscommerce V2.2, we accpte paypal payment,yesterday, we found someone changed the paypal email adress in the system(PayPal Website Payments Standard) to a hacked email address .And $457.5 was sent to the Hacker’ account. We reported the case to paypal. changed back paypal email address in oscomerce system and login passward ,but we found just now the paypal email address was hacked again ! Please help me! Any one know how to stop it! thank you in advance!

Contact PayPal customer support team. If you have registered your mobile phone with them, try to call them by phone.

Stop your oscommerce paypal plugin to stop further payments.

Here is the thing. I (with my girlfriend) won an auction on eBay and used my girlfriends paypal to pay it. After 1-2 hours we made the payment, paypal system cancelled the payment god knows why.

The payment method was bank account (eCheck, Bank of America).

Now the total balance on our paypal accunt is zero. However, the money was witdrawn and seen as "Cleared" from her bank account anyway. So we’re off 497$ in my bank account but this money is not in my Paypal account.

After all of these, the paypal account is permenantly limited. Now what will happen? Will the money be refunded to bank account?

In summary, how can a permanently limited account get a refund? Will the money be transferred to paypal account, or directly to the bank?

Let me say it again, I’m not referring to issuing a refund FROM a limited account, be careful. I’m referring to getting a refund TO a limited account.

Your best bet is to call Paypal customer service and get someone on the phone. It appears as if Paypal suspects fraudulent activity which is why the account is "permanently" limited. Clearly, the money is yours (unless there IS something fraudulent going on and it’s not your money to begin with) and Paypal has no right to it. Assuming nothing untoward is going on, Paypal should recognize this and send the money back to the bank account from which it was drawn. It should do this on the next business day without fanfare. Be nice on the phone - you get more with honey than with vinegar.

The other avenue to pursue is from your bank’s side. Take all your documentation to the bank and have it pursue the restoration of your funds from Paypal. Since you can show the transaction was cancelled, you have every right to have the money restored and your bank should fight for it.
