Whay did i only get a partial refund when i escalated to a paypal claim?
So i sent 200$ for a blackberry 8900 and waited about 2 weeks and haven’t received it so i filed a dispute waited then another week and filed a claim seller did not respond within the 10 days so paypal gave me a refund but only gave me 182. Why didn’t the give me my full 200??
There could be a fee that paypal charges. Check their website to see if there is a way to ask them.
An eBay buyer from Germany has opened a PayPal dispute claiming she didn’t receive her parcel?
She bought two perfumed body sprays and I’m now wondering if the package may have been held by customs?
I know unboxed perfume isn’t allowed into Germany, so would bodyspray fall into the same category?
Hopefully you have proof of postage? Scan it and send to PP to substantiate your claim.
Question about paypal dispute and claim?
Paypal says that you can’t escalate to a claim until after 10 days. Does that mean 10 days after opening the initial dispute? Or 10 days since paying?
I opened a dispute on April 12th, and the seller didn’t respond. It was for a non-received item. Is it okay to escalate to a claim now?
If I leave it as a dispute for now, will I win it and get my money back without having to escalate? (Assuming the seller doesn’t respond)
Yes, since the seller did not respond you can escalate to a claim.
If paypal tell you to wait, then you will have to wait 10 days after you have open the dispute.
If paypal lets you move on with claim then its ok, if it tells you to wait then you can try again on the 22 of april

Paypal Dispute Question!! (SERIOUS)?
Ok so recently my computer was hacked and i lost alot of personal informations like facebook, game accounts and including my paypal. The hacker used around $265 dollars and about 185 of that was straight out of my checking account!! I filed a dispute and lost the case, Paypal claimed the purchase IP orginated from my house.
Can i file a police report? What can i do!?!?!? HELP!!!
btw i asked paypal if i could claim a item dispute then becuz i didnt recieve anything either way and they told me it was a online transcation so i had no buyers protection what kind of crap is that?
Paypal exists solely to make money for Paypal. No-one ever gets reimbursement from them, no matter what the issue is, from what I hear.
Maybe the cops, but don’t too expect much, I’m afraid. Sounds like you are out the dough one way or another.
Still, considering what they could have gotten, it’s actually a relatively cheap lesson.
Paypal question about disputes and claims?
ok lets say me and this guy are both on a forum, in the forum there is a classified section, he agrees to sell me a item and i agree to pay him via paypal.
if i pay him and he doesnt send me anything would i still be able to file a dispute or claim with paypal. also what is the likelihood that i will get my money back if the sale wasnt made over ebay?

You can dispute it/ file a claim thru Paypal. They will investigate it like a credit card company would.
What should I do about a False PayPal Claim?
On 9/26 I sold a watch for 450 dollars to a buyer on eBay. The buyer is from Hong Kong and asked me if I could take out the shipping cost, so I agreed to make it a deal for him and give him free shipping. So I decided to ship the item with first class mail international to his paypal address instead of using priority mail which would cost 3 times more (considering I was paying for the shipping). He bought the watch on a weekend so I ended up shipping it on 9/29.
Now 5 days pass by and it’s 10/4. The buyer starts threatening me that if he doesn’t receive the item within 3 days he will open a dispute with paypal. Now I tried to explain to him that it is international and that First class mail intl’ delivery times vary, but he wouldn’t understand. He kept asking me for a tracking number even though I explained to him that First class mail intl’ doesn’t provide one (I shipped it from the post office). I even showed him the shipping receipt, yet he refused to believe I shipped it. He decided to file a dispute anyways.
So 2 days pass and all I did is help the guy on the paypal resolution center. Then I get an email from PayPal telling me that the buyer escalated the dispute to a claim. Just like that.
What can I do about false paypal claims like these? If paypal decides to favor his side then I will lose 450 dollars out of my pocket including my item.
you’re severely f***Ed without a tracking number. the buyer may deny receipt forever and you’ll never be able to prove you even shipped it, let alone that he got it.
next time you ship a watch or similar item internationally, ship registered at buyer’s expense!
you might get lucky if the buyer gets his stuff within the next week or so.
Is it true that if you dispute your claim on Paypal once, you can’t do it again?
I was told that if I open a dispute on paypal and then cancel it, I can never open another dispute on that payment again. This seems like a good way to protect against scammers online (people who recall their money after a day or two), but is it true? Thanks.
