I just accidentally made a PayPal payment from an old bank account that is now closed. How do I fix this?
My default bank account associated with PayPal was an account that I had to close. I used my PayPal account for the first time in a while and it defaulted to the old account. I contacted PayPal support but they will not assist saying the transaction is already in process. What can I do?
Don't worry. The payment will be cancelled automatically since the account is closed. PayPal Customer Support should have done it when you called them, but anyways it's going to be cancelled. Once it's cancelled, you'll get a notification and then you can proceed to make the payment from your active bank account. Be careful next time around, because repeatation of such actions may cause your PayPal account to be marked as "Fraud".

I would call back and ask for a manager. Someone there should be able to either fix it or give you steps to correct it. In the end, you will probably get an email saying the payment didn't go through and ask you to input correct information.

cancel it, as paypal customer service and them talk to the bank and tell them about it and explain to them that you will give them the money back since it was an accidental entry… if it goes through, ask the bank how they will handle it when and if they get it (perhaps they will refuse it?)

Go to the bank and explain this to them. Do it ASAP

Call the bank immediately, call paypal immediately and tell them you will pay with the bank account that has money in it. Call the business where you owe money and tell them too.
