Boycott Strike ebaY Paypal Be S.A.F.E. - XSS Flaw
Just a little something I threw together.
I ‘borrowed’ (or is that hijacked?) the “Be S.A.F.E. - Stay Away From Ebay” slogan from the author of companyexposed.com blog.
I give them full credit for the phrase.
My apologies for not remembering where I read that catchy phrase from. Thought it was on a chat board.
This of course alludes to the FACT that ebay is a dangerous website, full of risks.
I cite the long standing major security flaw, United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team website (us-cert dot gov) Vulnerability Note VU#808921,

which has gone uncorrected for about 2 full years now.
This is the very same flaw which recently was discovered to have been exploited by hackers to view ‘about me’ pages and to glean personal confidential info of the unsuspecting users.

Once again I am asking folks to post video responses to this. I see quite a few which are already suitable, so anyone with parody videos, please post them as response. We also need more new fresh videos, and videos from new users.

We may not get any justice, but we can make the entire world laugh at these criminal-clowns as we expose the facts and persuade people to Avoid IT like the plague!
The entire site, imo, including paypal site is in shambles, and it looks like the users are taking the brunt of it, they now attempt to clamp down in unsound, unreasonable, perhaps even illegal manners.
Wise people will close out their accounts, do whatever they need to to separate ebay and PP from your bank accounts and personal info and get far far away from this out of control trainwreck in slow motion.
Latest scams dujour perpetrated by paypal includes the postal insurance signature loophole, and the freezing of entire accounts, sometimes for thousands of dollars, over a single item shipping delay for examples.
This of course aside from the scheme to become the single online payment service worldwide, starting in Australia.
Meanwhile, Meg Whitman is busy counting all the stock options she has cashed in and has hopped from the failed Presidential campaign of Mitt Romney (verry shortly after that scandalous Granny Warriors account freezing by Paypal thing) into the campaign of Sen John McCain. Scary Stuff.
The contents of this video fall under fair rights use. The creator of this video has no commercial or financial motivations.
Further, materials used herein are integral to the parody element of the video, as we criticize ebay follies and foibles in parody.
There is and has an obvious claim to the transformative value.

Blackout Paypal Credit Close My Account Again
It is no wonder why Paypal and Ebay want to start Pay Later. They have drained our accounts and refuse to close them after repeated requests to do so.
I have received 4 Credit Refunds from Paypal in trying to close the accounts only to receive more bogus charged that continue to come in. This time I have recorded it since they fail to find any attempts in their records.
Get away from Ebay and Paypal before this happens to you. Protect your financial information from the scammers and pirates that continue to prey on consumers.
Close all your financial accounts that have ever been attached to your Ebay or Paypal Accounts. Protect your financial future and start now…….it may take you several months to do so but keep at it….Evenually they may understand what “Close This Account” Means.

Legal Ebay Scam by mahaan
We won an auction for an almost new Sony Digital 8 camcorder, in good working condition, used only 4 or 5 times. It arrived defective (tape got stuck and it wouldn’t play any tapes). We videotaped it with our mini DV camcorder immediately as proof and contacted the seller. He replied back four times telling us to ship it back right away. He even said it was fishy and then used scare tactics, saying we wouldnt get a refund unless we shipped it back right away. He said that he will take it to Sony and if it is a factory default, we will get our money back, if not, we won’t. We argued that it arrived defective and that it had nothing to do with Sony. Sony could not prove who broke it, or if it was broken 1 day ago or 1 year ago. He kept repeating the same thing, to ship it back immediately, He even said he has nothing to lose because he has extended warranty coverage from his American Express (even though this is an older camcorder, no longer made).
So we then took the issue through Paypal Resolution Center, where we showed LOTS of evidence for our case, including an accurate TIMELINE of when the package arrived and how fast we reported that the camcorder was defective. In terms of Sony Digital 8 camcorder EXPERIENCE, I showed how we were experienced using that type of camera since we owned one since last decade and recorded numerous hours of footage. He on the other hand, admitted that he was not a video expert and that he bought it for his girlfriend who left him. He was more likely to break it than us. HISTORY: we have a clean Ebay record. We contacted one of the people who gave him negative feedback, dr_phyll67. dr_phyll67 told us that mahaan shipped him a broken laptop and forgot to send him the power cord. He said that mahaan was SO SLOW in shipping that by the time he was able to test it and complain, it was already too late. He lost his money and said he is willing to testify against mahaan on our behalf. Mahaan also never sent us the firewire cable. NO PROOF THAT THE CAMERA WAS IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION : We proved that we can take the same picture with the defective camera that he showed in his ad, proving that the camera could have been broken when that picture was taken.
The evidence was convincing because Paypal ruled in our favor within 2 days. Paypal asked us to ship the camcorder back to him and provide a tracking number. We did. And because I didn’t trust mahaan, I video taped me packing up the video camcorder and all of the accessories, also showing how well I bubble wrapped the camcorder in case he blamed the shipping. USPS showed that the camcorder arrived on a Monday. I patiently waited for our refund. Nothing happened until Thursday, when I was told that I received the refund. Paypal transferred the money out of his account. But it also said the seller mahaan was appealing. I assumed he was still trying to take it to Sony
HERE IS THE “LEGAL” FRAUD:
Thirteen days go by and we get a message saying that we have a Paypal transaction so we check and the case was closed, but our money was TAKEN AWAY!! NO EXPLANATION AT ALL. I called Paypal and asked what happened. All they could tell me was that mahaan provided “legal documentation” showing that he received a different camcorder! I shipped the correct camcorder and have the video as proof, but it holds no weight compared to his “legal documentation.” I CANNOT dispute or even SEE this document because it is a “legal document”. The case was closed and Paypal said it is out of their hands because of that legal document. They said that I must go through the courts, get a court order and subpoena the document to even see it.
Apparently, mahaan has found a legal way to scam us. How? Friends in the right places?? I don’t know. Thats probably why he didnt care about giving us a lame argument through the Paypal Resolution Center. It didnt matter, because the scam occurs AFTERWARDS. Or before, if you’re naive enough to ship it back. That’s why he was pushing so hard from the beginning to ship it back right away. Ebayers, DO NOT BUY FROM HIM. Lesson learned, we will only buy from power sellers with a very good return policy. We learned that you have NO BUYER PROTECTION against this type of scam.

We see when we conduct a quick google that this email address is known to be a hijacker- hackers address. Then we see searching through ebay with that term (email addy) as well as the the seller’s listings. Those items are are fake auctions. The seller/victim did not make them.
Note the bidder, ebay member “scam-listing-dont-bid-dont-contact” we see bidding on the fraudulent listings throughout as we look at individual items.
That is the ebaY’s idea of security in action apparently, rather than to fix the holes.
Do you really trust a site like that?

The HACKING of ebay has very recently been confirmed by the United States Postal Service Postal Inspection Service division, in an article entilted ” U.S. Postal Service Cracks Down On Cyberscams”, published Jun 4, 2007 03:00 PM, on the informationweek.com website. Therein, U.S. Postal Inspector Greg Crabb, program manager for the organization’s international affairs group, discusses über hacker Vladuz, who “has repeatedly gained unauthorized access to areas of eBay’s network…”
